ATI's powerful graphics chosen for seven Acer PC models

Inc. (NASDAQ: ATYT; TSX: ATY) today announced that Acer Incorporated,
one of the world’s top ten branded PC vendors, is incorporating
ATI’s award-winning graphics into seven new consumer
desktop PC models. ATI’s Radeon® 9700 PRO visual
processing unit (GPU), Radeon® 9000 and Radeon® 7500
will power high-end and mainstream PCs.

The award-winning Radeon 9700 PRO is the world’s fastest
and most powerful GPU, and the only product to feature a
256-bit memory interface. Additional features include Microsoft® DirectX® 9.0
support and eight parallel rendering pipelines which deliver
ground-breaking cinematic-quality visuals. The Radeon 9000
features best-of-class 3D gaming with its quad-pipe architecture
and Microsoft® DirectX® 8.1 support. The Radeon 7500
is an excellent mainstream graphics board that provides a
number of entertainment benefits, including DVD acceleration
for high quality playback, DVI flat panel support and industry-leading
TV-out display.
